Full Replacement of Piping for 188 Units

The Hale Kamaole condominium complex in Kihei, Maui, has 188 units. The complex consists of eight separate two and three-story buildings situated on over 7 acres of landscaped grounds, located directly across from Kamaole Beach Park III.

Our scope of work included the full replacement of all above-grade DWV (drain, waste, and vent) cast iron piping, along with firestopping at all piping penetrations. Below grade, we installed a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining system throughout the existing cast iron piping. By utilizing fitting connection liners, we eliminated the need for reinstatements, resulting in a seamless, continuous liner from end to end.

This project was originally initiated by another contractor, but during work on the second building, the owner and construction manager identified challenges that required a higher level of technical expertise. Our team was brought in for consultation and based on our proven experience with complex CIPP systems, we were entrusted with completing the remaining five buildings. Our ability to deliver consistent quality, problem-solve effectively, and coordinate efficiently made a clear difference in bringing the project back on track.
