New Plumbing & Fire Protection for an Upscale Restaurant
Located in Wailea Village, Koast is a 150-seat upscale restaurant that combines elegant resort-style architecture with a modern, relaxed atmosphere. The space features indoor dining, a full-service bar, a wrap-around lānai, and cabana-style outdoor seating—designed to complement the beauty of Maui’s south shore.
Our scope of work included the installation of all new plumbing and fire protection systems. Working in close coordination with other MEP trades, our team helped ensure the seamless integration and precise placement of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the complex ceiling and floor assemblies.
Utilizing BIM modeling and Robotic Total Stations, we achieved exact fixture placements—including floor sinks and drains—perfectly flush with the project’s sloped concrete floors. Despite an aggressive construction timeline, with less than one month allocated for in-wall rough-in of waste, water, gas, and fire protection systems, our team successfully completed the project on schedule with 700 total field hours.
